UK SEND • Early help for every child • Built by a Chartered Educational Psychologist

The whole SEND journey on one platform. From first concern to final plan.

Help that arrives early, so no child has to fail first. Children thrive on relationships, belonging and joy, and those take adult time the system has taken away. So this platform carries the load instead: effective help in every teacher’s hands the moment a need shows, so most children never need the statutory route at all, and the adults around them get their time back for the work only people can do. And for the few who genuinely need a plan, the evidence is already there: one record, every professional, tribunal-defensible the whole way.

Or register for early access

Why we built it

Are we listening? For more than two decades, research has asked children what school feels like when it goes wrong, and the answer has not changed: they stop feeling they belong.

So this platform starts from a different place. Look after the adults around the child. Give them back the time for relationships. Belonging, confidence and joy follow, and most crises never happen. That chain is demonstrated, not promised: walk it on the live platform below.

The problem, in the system's own numbers

England's SEND system was built to help children, and it is buckling.

These are not our figures. They are the Department for Education's, the Tribunal service's, the British Psychological Society's and councils' own.

It does not have to be this way.

Every one of those numbers is a child who waited too long. EdPsych Connect breaks the cycle at its source: effective early intervention, in every teacher’s hands, with the educational psychologist involved early, so most children get what they need without ever entering the statutory system, and the few who genuinely need a plan arrive with the evidence already gathered. The government is now asking every council for a plan to reduce demand. This is that plan: working, not on paper.

Not a promise: running today

Walk the platform yourself, through one child’s real journey.

Jamie Star is our demonstration child: an autistic boy whose needs were picked up early and met all the way to an EHC plan that works. Step into his story as any of the people around him and move through the real, working platform at your own pace. Nothing to install; nothing you can break.

A guided, read-only walkthrough: explore freely, then register your interest below for early-partner access to the full working platform.

Prefer to watch first? One child · the whole journey · the real platform

The same journey, told as a film through the eyes of the people around Jamie. Every screen is the real, working platform. Captioned throughout.

More than the statutory process

It raises the floor for every child, long before a statutory route is ever needed.

Most of what a child needs is ordinary teaching, shaped well. EdPsych Connect builds that everyday layer first, so fewer children ever reach the statutory route at all, and those who do arrive with the evidence already gathered.

Differentiated learning, automatically

  • One lesson plan in; a version shaped to what the platform has learned about each pupil’s working memory, processing speed and attention comes out, and it learns from every lesson
  • A library of 100+ research-backed Tier 1, 2 and 3 interventions: scheduled, assigned and progress-tracked

A companion that guides, never does the work

  • A voice-driven Personal Tutor that scaffolds learning: the child stays the agent, not the recipient
  • Quests and a motivation layer that make engagement the entry point to learning
  • Study Buddy reads disengagement early, before it becomes a gap

Wellbeing and progress, seen early

  • Universal wellbeing check-ins surface concern before it becomes crisis
  • Attendance and engagement signals flag the quietly struggling child early, against the DfE persistent-absence thresholds

Built to be trusted, not just to work

Every decision here can be traced to the evidence, the law, and the person who made it.

Software that holds a child's record has to answer three questions at tribunal: where did this come from, who decided it, and what changed. Most systems cannot. This is the part of EdPsych Connect that already works today, on the record you can walk through yourself.

A receipt for every AI-assisted decision

  • Every AI-assisted output carries a receipt naming the use case, the reviewer, their decision and what they changed
  • The receipt is composed from the record itself at the moment you read it, so it cannot drift from what actually happened, and every line names the field it was read from
  • Nothing is issued without a named person deciding: the professional reviews, amends and signs

The amendment chain, kept

  • Every version of a plan formulation and every annual review is retained with the reason it changed, so an amendment history is a record rather than a memory
  • A tamper-evident chain covers plan formulations, their versions and annual reviews, and the audit log behind it is HMAC-signed across every write path in the platform
  • Provenance runs the other way too: you can ask which evidence fed a given recommendation, and get an answer

It joins your school systems, it does not replace them

  • Pupil identity attaches to the record your MIS already holds, through Wonde, matched on UPN, so an import can never create a second version of a child
  • Per-user AI spend caps and a tenant-level kill switch are built in, not bolted on
  • An educational psychologist’s CPD currency is checked in the relevant domain before any new instruction is accepted

The human always in command

Our Professional Autonomy Charter is engineered in: the platform never forms the clinical view, never decides a child's needs, and never acts on a child without a recorded human decision.

The deeper platform, and the statutory route, for the few who need it

Six pillars behind every child's journey.

Whether a child needs everyday support or, for the few who reach that point, the full statutory route, every workflow on EdPsych Connect cites the law it sits behind. No black boxes. No 'coming soon' inside the product.

Statutory toolkit

  • EHCNA intake → draft → finalise → annual review, all timestamped
  • SEN2 statutory return composed automatically from your case data

Ask Scott: domain-expert AI

  • Grounded in the statutory framework: SEND Code of Practice 2015, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Children and Families Act 2014, Equality Act 2010
  • Voice-first; always cites its sources; never invents case law

Drafting that carries the load; the human signs every word

  • Section-aware drafting support with a verbatim-block manager: quote statute exactly
  • The professional reviews, amends and signs; nothing is issued without a human decision

Parent + young-person voice

The adoption blocker, solved

Your children’s data never has to leave your control.

The real reason SEND tools stall is trust: nobody wants their children’s records locked inside someone else’s database. With Bring-Your-Own-Data, your records live in your own database (your infrastructure, your region, your retention rules), connected over strictly-verified TLS using your own certificate authority. You keep sovereignty; we are the tool, never the owner of your data.

Your database

Connect your own PostgreSQL or MySQL. Your records are stored in your infrastructure, in your region, never pooled with anyone else’s.

Verified encryption

Connections use strict TLS (verify-full) with your own certificate authority: not a shared certificate, not a trust-us promise.

No lock-in

Export everything, at any time. The data is yours; if you ever leave, you take it with you in full.

For every audience

Every role around the child. One platform. The same tribunal-defensible record.

One product, a tuned experience for every seat at the table, each shaped for the role, the literacy, the urgency and the legal exposure.

The tools you build a private practice around.

  • Evidence assembled and drafted to professional standards: you stay the author
  • Voice-first dictation tuned to EP register and jargon
Schools · SENCos

Annual review week, and the Ofsted week after, calmer.

  • APDR cycle with auto-collated parent and young-person voice
  • When Ofsted ask for evidence, the bundle is already prepared

  • Local Area SEND inspection (Ofsted + CQC) evidence trail intact
Health · Social Care

Your advice lands in the child's one record, not an inbox.

  • EHC needs assessment advice requests arrive with the statutory deadline tracked
  • Contributions join the same record every other professional sees: no email attachments, no re-keying
Young People (10–25)

Your plan. Your voice. Your record.

  • Age-appropriate dashboards from primary through to post-16
  • Mental-health signposting that respects Gillick competence

Note from the founder

For years I have sat with the children a busy system learns to look past: the ones who quietly decide they are no good at school long before anyone reaches for a form. My doctoral research asked them what that felt like, and what they told me never left me: they were the ones not listened to.

I built EdPsych Connect so that help reaches them early, while a wobble is still a wobble, in every teacher’s hands, with the educational psychologist alongside long before a plan is ever needed. Most children never need the statutory route at all; for the few who genuinely do, the evidence is already there, and it holds. That is the order of things I teach my trainees, and it is the order this platform is built on: not a pivot from another sector, not a CRM dressed in education colours, but a platform built from first principles by the practitioner who still stands at tribunal.
